Whiff of Joy project of the Month for April - Decorate an Easter Present

Katharina set us the task of decorating an Easter Present for Aprils POM. The Dt have all come up with a totally different creation and they are all stunning you can view them on the Whiff of Joy website Here

I decided to make two presents, one for my Aunt, the basket, and one for Mum the box (Mum loves her choccies). The basket is from the Cricut Tags, Bags and More cartridge, I also made a little key ring with shrink plastic to hang on it.

The Box held some perfume I got for Christmas and seemed perfect for a chocolate box, I cover the whole thing with some yummy papers added some lush ribbon and of course the two images from the Whiff of Joy Guardian Angel release. Really easy but I think it looks quite effective. BTW the chocolates came from Hotel Chocolate, hope they taste as yummy as they look

Friday Sketchers

Friday Sketchers have a fabulous sketch to follow this week, so I was really pleased I could join in with the challenge.

I am struggling today with a Migraine I am trying to work my way through it as I loose so many crafting hours to these horrible things, but think I may have to give up and lay down. So I am afraid this is a quick card and a quick post.
I have used another of my new SN images today and she has been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's, the papers are all BASIC Grey, the sentiment is from WOJ and the swirls and corners are punched with my new punches from Jill at
The Hobby House. Jill has had most of Crafting Allowance this month but with such great products its no wonder. The rest is from stash.

I have loosely carried the sketch over to the inside.

Sunday Best

Magnolia Vs Stampavie

First a very big thank you to Bev who despite being snowed under with work for Jill at Hobby House's stand at Harrogate and her other many DT duties has been running this challenge for the last 4 weeks, whilst Donna has been sorting out some personal problems, we really appreciate all you have done Sweetie (Mwah).

It is a great Challenge this week a colour theme for you RED, WHITE, BLACK (GREY), I really enjoyed working with these colours and I am sure the rest of the DT felt the same as they have produced some really fabulous creations for your delectation.

This post is scheduled and I am always a bit worried that it will not work, but if you are reading this I must have got it right. Thank you everyone who left such lovely wishes for Mums Birthday, she loved her Memory Book (which isn't quite finished), I will take some photos once I can prize it away from her, she had a great day and received some fabulous cards thank you everyone. I will not have time to come up here today so I will try to visit all you lovely people who have left comments for me tonight.

Wow after that preamble onto this weeks Dt card, I have used this gorgeous Tilda Stamp from the Spring Release and coloured her with Distress Inks and H20's. The papers are Daisy Bucket, I have run a piece of black matt card through the cuttlebug Swirl Folder, I don't know where I got that fabulous stripey ribbon but it seemed just right for this card, have you noticed the fabulous black swirls and MSBP these came from the lovely Jill The Hobby House, she has got lots of the new Punches, Nesties and MSBP on the website and her service is the best so be quick and get your order in. Punched flowers again and I have added a little Ladybug from my stash to the middle of the large flower. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy

I have coloured the same Tildas face and punched with a round punch she has been mounted on a black fabric flower from Imaginise.

Cute Card Thursday

Family Affair is the theme this week, they would like to see a card for a member of the family what a great idea. There are some fabulous examples from the DT for more details of the challenge just click
Here

I have an Aunt who is extra special to me, we are quite near in age and I would say she is also my very bestest friend, so this card is for her. Another fabulous Melinda Angel from Whiff of Joy she is just so sweet and serene. Distress Inks and H20's have been used again, I cannot make up my mind which is my favourite colouring medium. The lovely K&Co Papers are from a 12x12 double sided pad I also bought from The Hobby House, there are some gorgeous glitter papers in this pad, and the Swirl punch has been used again. I have added some flat back pearls and flowers from stash, the sentiment is computer generated.

The inside is quite plain the same papers have been used and I also had to use the new label nesties again.

Well thats it I would just like to wish you all a great Sunday and as today is official the first day of Spring in the UK I hope that the weather starts to improve for us all.

A Windy Day

Sketch Saturday

The Sketch on
Sketch Saturday this week is really fabulous for using up odds and ends and the DT girls have really made some beautiful cards so pleased I could join in this week.

Monday again where is this year going, hope you all had a great weekend. I may not be blogging quite as much this week as it is Mums birthday on Saturday and I have decided to make her a memory book, she is now at the stage of this horrible decease where it is getting hard for her to remember members of the family so I have been gathering photos of family and friends and hope to pull them all together and try to make a story on each page. Hope it turns out as I have envisaged it.

Todays card for Sketch Saturday Challenge is using my favourite of the new
Elizabeth Bell Stamps from Sugar Nellie, she has been coloured with Distress Inks nd H20's and mounted on K&Co papers. The flowers are made with Retro Flower Punch (medium) and a little paper rose. I threaded some beads I found in last weeks tidy up to beading wire and add a charm at the end.

I have used the same papers inside and used the BSBP and another image of the lovely little girl.

Easter Tilda and New Additions For Friday Sketchers

Magnolia vs Stampavie

This week on Magnolia Vs Stampavie we have a great challenge A Shaped Card and the girls on the Dt have really come up with some briilliant creations to get you started, so just pop over to the challenge Blog and join us again.

I used the fabulous tag card instructions by Tiets that were on the
Sugar Bowl Challenge a few weeks back. Easter Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks and cut with the Oval Nesties, the papers are from The Bearly Mine CD, also the tickets. The flower has been punched with a paper rose added to the middle and I have added a couple of Hat Pins to finish.

The papers inside are also from the same Cd.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Another fabulous sketch for us this week on Friday Sketchers, their sponsor this week is the lovely Janet from Pink Gem Designs.

This week three little Elves called Elvin, Egbert and Trump came to live in my craft room now they are just so sweet I could not resist introducing you to all three of them, the fairies here are none to happy as they have their noses put out of joint by their arrival but I am sure harmony will be restored soon.
You can have these three little elves in your house as they are for sale at
Bearly Mine Designs, and you can also follow Donna and their adventures in Lumas Thorn here, I love reading Alans stories so please pop over there and give him your support.

They have all been coloured with Copics (sorry I forgot to take a picture of the markers I used) and the lovely fresh papers are Imaginise, the flowers are Flora Doodles from Joanna Sheen and swirls are a sizzix die, rest from stash.

Thought you might like a closer look at Egbert and Trump
